Objectives

Taking part in Erasmus+ KA131 forms an essential element of the Institute’s long-term plan for development and modernization, as well as for strengthening its European outlook, in line with the Erasmus Policy Statement. For this reason, and following the approach of previous years, the Institute has continued to enhance opportunities for outgoing mobility while also welcoming incoming candidates from partner institutions. These students see the IED as an appealing place to study, where a distinctive and effective teaching model consistently adapts to the profound and rapid transformations taking place in society and its evolving demands. As in past editions, the project has placed special emphasis on student mobility, ensuring that grants provided full coverage for the entire period abroad. This measure prevented financial concerns from becoming an obstacle to participation, whether for study purposes or traineeships. The data shows that the number of outgoing participants exceeded the initial forecast, reaching 46 compared to the 43 planned. The high demand for student mobility combined with the low demand for staff mobility led to the reallocation of part of the funds earmarked for staff mobility for training to student mobility for studies, thus enabling 83.79% of the total mobility to be implemented. Expanding access to Erasmus opportunities has primarily fostered a more collaborative and creative educational environment within the Institute, one in which students can explore, design, experiment, and share their results with the broader community. In this context, the KA131 initiative has reinforced the Institute’s innovative capacity, strengthened knowledge sharing and the promotion of democratic values and European identity, supported the implementation of a new digital ecosystem, and advanced social inclusion and equity.
