Internationalisation Project at IES Son Rullan: The project at IES Son Rullan is designed to enhance the academic, professional, linguistic, and personal competences of both students and staff through the implementation of international mobilities and preparatory work carried out at the educational centre. Improving students’ employability One of the main objectives of the project has been to improve students’ employability by fostering not only technical skills related to their vocational training but also personal and social competences that are essential for entering the labour market at both local and international levels. Internships in European companies have been certified through the Europass Mobility document, which formally records the activities completed and the competences acquired abroad. In addition, the Europass CV —using a standardised format— and the Diploma Supplement have allowed participants to present their training and experience in a clear and recognisable manner to potential employers. These tools promote greater transparency and significantly enhance students’ employment prospects across Europe. Development of personal competences: Working in international professional environments has challenged students to step out of their comfort zones, encouraging autonomy, responsibility, adaptability, flexibility, and self-confidence. This experience has fostered personal growth and strengthened problem-solving and decision-making skills in unfamiliar contexts. Improving language skills The use of language learning platforms such as OLS, combined with full immersion in foreign work environments, has contributed to the development of participants’ linguistic competence. Students have improved their ability to communicate in a foreign language, not only by acquiring technical vocabulary but also by interacting in real-world social and professional situations. Strengthening professional competences: For students, the experience of working in a real professional environment has provided the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained during their academic training, reinforcing their technical and operational abilities. Exposure to new working methods and practices has allowed them to update and expand their professional skills, increasing their level of specialisation within their field. For teachers, participation in international training experiences has led to methodological renewal, enabling them to incorporate more effective and innovative teaching practices. This professional development has had a direct impact on the quality of education and, consequently, on student motivation and performance. Enhancing educational quality and the internationalisation of the school The implementation of this project has significantly improved the overall quality of education at IES Son Rullan and contributed to its internationalisation process. The integration of innovative practices, the strengthening of international networks, and partnerships with European companies have expanded training and career opportunities for students and staff alike. Moreover, strategic ties with institutions and professionals from other countries have boosted the school’s reputation and opened up new channels for cooperation.
