Among the areas of action detailed in our Internationalisation Plan, we highlight the following as the backbone of the project: Area 1) Objectives with a direct impact on students: Objective 1. Contribute to the creation of a community of well-qualified professionals—in terms of both their professional skills and their soft skills and language abilities— professionals with open minds and international experience. In this way, mobility should enable students to: - Acquire and/or improve technical knowledge and skills through the completion of their specific training programme. The training programme included all the activities that the student had to observe and/or perform with varying degrees of autonomy and was implemented in accordance with all parties involved. - Observe and critically analyse other professional practices, discovering and/or identifying their theoretical and practical foundations and extracting both positive and negative aspects. This process enabled students to acquire the ability to shape their own professional practice in an autonomous and informed manner, adapting it to changing contexts. - Improve other cross-cutting skills such as responsibility, problem-solving, resilience, the ability to manage time efficiently to complete tasks, the ability to integrate into interdisciplinary, diverse and intercultural work teams, and the ability to use digital communication tools responsibly and fluently. - Increase their communication skills and resources in foreign languages (in this case, Portuguese) to adapt to the new environment and interact effectively with users, co-workers and outside the work environment. - Acquire and perfect the skills and abilities described within a safe environment and under periodic monitoring of both their professional performance and emotional state. Objective 2. Increasing our students' chances of competing in the European job market and/or continuing their studies after acquiring a solid foundation. This objective was achieved thanks to: - The acquisition of new skills within the framework of their mobility (Axis 1). - The discovery of new options for integration into jobs and positions of responsibility which, despite being related to their training, are complementary and/or different from the job opportunities available to students in their immediate environment on the island of Ibiza. - The recognition they received after successfully completing their internship (passing the Workplace Training module, which led to them obtaining a technical qualification, a Europass Mobility Supplement describing the mobility experience in detail, and a certificate of stay in the country and at the host centre), which complemented and enriched their CV and, therefore, increased their chances of finding employment. - The creation of new contacts and synergies that will broaden the student's own job prospects and also increase the possibilities for collaboration between IES Algarb and new companies in our neighbouring country, Portugal. Axis 2) Objectives related to the management of our International Programmes Commission (hereinafter CPI): Objective 1. Strengthen collaborative networks between our institution and the receiving centres (in this case, CERCINA - Cooperativa de Ensino, Reabilitação, Capacitação e Inclusão de Nazaré) in order to increase the quality, interest and agility of mobility activities. Objective 2. Improve the methods and tools for planning, managing and evaluating mobility that we have developed at our centre. To this end, in accordance with the new needs that were identified and the incidents that we thought might arise, the project management protocols were modified to ensure maximum quality, transparency, efficiency (in terms of time, financial, human and material resources) and inclusion. Axis 3) Transfer-related objectives: Objective 1. Complement and enrich the training programmes and cycle schedules. This goal was achieved once the tutor monitored her student during the internship and analysed his report, which will allow new activities, new concepts and new methodologies to be included in her teaching programme. Axis 4) Objectives related to our international image: Objective 1. Consolidate the position and image of IES Algarb as an international and multicultural centre through the dissemination of the activities carried out. Thanks to the dissemination of our students' experiences, we were able to give continuity to the internationalisation project.
