This is our first KA131 project and our objectives in this project have focused on: 1.- Introducing Erasmus projects into the higher education courses at our institution. Our organisation offers five higher education courses and therefore has more than 100 second-year students as its target audience. Some of these students have already participated in an Erasmus mobility programme, in a KA121 project, after completing their intermediate education, but in this case, it was a mobility programme for work placements. 2.- To bring European identity closer to our students. Our institution welcomes students from various regions, but the majority of them have never left their area. This is an opportunity to bring them closer to European culture and experiences. It is an opportunity to identify ourselves as a cultural, social, educational and professional unit and, ultimately, as a unit of cohesion and growth. 3.- Work towards the internationalisation of our institution. Our institution aims to open its doors and make itself known, as well as to enrich itself with the best practices of other institutions. Collaborate with national and international institutions and companies in the educational and business environment. Create a network of institutions and companies from different countries that can host our students for training placements and welcome students from other countries to carry out their training placements in our business environment. Our organisation began with Erasmus KA121 projects at secondary school level, aimed at students aged 14-16. We have also been beneficiaries of Erasmus KA102 projects and are currently beneficiaries of KA120 accreditation and several Erasmus KA121 VET projects. Getting started with KA131 projects has been another step towards the internationalisation of our institution. We know that mobility is just one more activity in the projects. Initially, we were unsure whether to start organising activities aimed at combined mobility or work placements in companies. After attending the conferences organised by SEPIE, and published in the communication section, the Erasmus Commission decided that combined mobility was more feasible as it brought together institutions with no previous experience. We looked for organisations that wanted to participate in activities that would culminate in combined mobility and contacted the host partner: Lycée Theilard de Chardin (Saint-Maur-des-Fossés) in France. This lycée was also starting with KA131 projects and, due to the similarity of the students' profiles, it was decided to work on the theme of ‘Well-being at work’. The project, for the 2023-24 academic year, was led by staff from our institution's French department, with the aim of promoting this second language in post-compulsory education, and by staff from the Administration and Management professional family, with the aim of promoting the Management Assistance training cycle, in which second-year students have a course load in French. The application to participate in this project is available on our institution's website and in tutoring sessions to the four professional families in our organisation, but only applications from students in administration and management family. During this academic year, 2023_24, combined student and teacher exchanges are being carried out with the Lycée Theilard de Chardin (Saint-Maur-des-Fossés) in France. The exchanges are being planned with the host partner and it has been agreed that they will only take place for the minimum period. We agreed with this institution to work on a new theme with the KA131 project and to carry out new combined mobility programmes. The project during the 2024_25 academic year was also led by the Administration and Management Department and the French Department, but with different staff, as the teachers who had started this project applied for a transfer/commission to another institution. Our objective was to continue the relationship with this institution. As the entire budget allocated had not been used, an extension of the period was requested. The theme for the 2024-25 academic year was agreed to be ‘E-cologic-all transition’. Working on this project, the Erasmus Commission sees more potential in new KA131 projects carrying out activities aimed at training students in companies than in planning activities that culminate in combined mobility. Therefore, the initial objectives of our institution will be carried out through activities aimed at student mobility for training in European companies. We hoped to contribute to the basic principles: inclusion and diversity, sustainability and the fight against climate change, participation in democratic life, digitalisation.
