Background: For the University of Extremadura (UEx), internationalization is one of the pillars on which its development and modernization is based. Participating in mobility projects that strengthen this process is a priority established in its Strategic Plan. Erasmus is the great success story of European politics and the EUx has been part of those 37 years of history. This experience has allowed to foster a network of connections and gain the necessary experience to lead the European Alliance (within the framework of European Universities), which is currently the roadmap that will mark the international strategy of the UEx. - Objectives: 1. To generate international education opportunities for the academic community. 2.To increase the international value in academic systems and syllabuses 3. To bring together different educational and social realities to better identify projects that improve educational systems and the future and projection of the university community. 4. To improve teaching and technical skills by adding an international dimension. 5. To train specialised talent to improve the employability rates of graduates 6. To modernize management systems, by sharing good practices. 7. To improve the external projection of the UEx university system, gaining visibility and increasing the possibilities of attracting external talent. 8. To contribute to further strengthening the European Union's policy on Higher Education by promoting the free movement of students and university staff within the European educational system. 9. Continue strengthening the sense of European citizenship and its values: human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and respect for human rights. 10. Be a participant and actor in a strong and united Europe in the face of current challenges posed by the global geopolitical situation, such as the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, and the dominance of policies and regimes that are contrary to democratic values and the rule of law.
