The internationalisation strategy of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) is committed to the international mobility of our students and staff through the Erasmus+ programme, among others. The main objective of this project is to provide the various groups within the university community with opportunities for study, training and professional development at institutions in programme countries, with the aim of enabling as many people as possible to benefit from this type of mobility. For the first time, we have organised a BIP (Blended Intensive Programme), exceeding the number of participants granted. In addition, we have participated as partners in various BIPs, which have been very well received by the university community, as they allow for very short-term mobility, which facilitates the participation of people who combine their studies with work or who, for any other reason, cannot undertake long-term mobility. In the short term, we hoped to continue overcoming all the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, seeking to increase the number of student and staff mobility programmes within the framework of the new generation of Erasmus+ projects (2021-2027). In the long term, we hoped to create a more internationalised university community and provide more and better mobility opportunities for our students and staff, contributing to better academic and skills training for our students and broader professional development for our academic and administrative staff.
