Objectives

Monlau has a long-standing tradition of involvement in international projects, both within the Erasmus+ framework and through participation in other activities that promote employability. Year after year, we are committed to consolidating and expanding our participation in international programs, always seeking continuous improvement and promoting Monlau’s internationalization plan for both students and staff. We have found that participation in international projects benefits the entire educational community, as the main objectives set are consistently achieved. Mobility projects help broaden the sociocultural horizons of participants, promote the employability of graduates, and encourage pedagogical innovation among teachers. Participating students have had the opportunity to expand and improve their technological knowledge, as well as strengthen both their personal and professional skills and competencies. In addition to enhancing their technical and language abilities, their competitiveness in leading sectors of the European economy—such as IT, automotive, and marketing—has been boosted. These are the three professional fields in which Monlau offers Vocational Training programs, both at Intermediate and Advanced levels. One of our main objectives is to improve young people’s employability, so the internship programs in which our students have participated are fundamental. Students perceive participation in Erasmus+ projects as an added value to their education and professional CV. Regarding staff mobilities, we have carried out job-shadowing training mobilities in European and international VET centres within our professional sectors. The aim has been to share best practices and learn about other methodologies and pedagogical tools, which are then shared with the rest of the teaching staff. We are confident that, from this experience, we will be able to consider implementing new methodological resources in the classroom, as established in Monlau’s School Plan. Participation in Erasmus+ projects also provides the opportunity to expand our network of partners as a centre, since new contacts will undoubtedly lead to new projects for both Advanced and Intermediate levels, and even for School Education projects. In conclusion, we believe we have successfully achieved the initial objectives, which are part of Monlau’s Internationalization Plan.
