This project at our school is conceived as a strategic opportunity to enrich the training of students in the Higher Technician Diploma in Cross-Platform Application Development, placing them in a European context that fosters their academic, personal, and professional growth. The objectives are aligned with the ECHE charter and seek to address the needs of the school and its island environment, while also connecting our students to the shared European space. First and foremost, the aim is to train professionals with an international outlook, who develop autonomy, entrepreneurial skills, and an open mindset. Living and working in a foreign context fosters tolerance, respect, and inclusion, values that are essential in today’s Europe. At the same time, it strengthens the sense of belonging to a broader European community. This approach not only contributes to personal growth but also enhances the quality and modernization of the school’s and municipality’s educational offer, since both students and staff acquire experiences and knowledge that enrich teaching practices and the academic preparation of learners. A second key objective is the improvement of linguistic, professional, and personal skills. The reality in the Canary Islands shows that many students struggle with languages, which limits their chances of integration into the European academic and professional framework. Erasmus mobilities provide a real environment where the use of foreign languages becomes both necessary and motivating, enabling significant progress in a short time. Furthermore, other professional and social skills are reinforced, improving participants’ employability and self-confidence. The project also aims to consolidate and modernize the school’s educational offer. As this is a newly introduced program that serves a wide sector of students across the island, ensuring its continuity and appeal is a priority. To achieve this, the project promotes the adoption of innovative methodologies, motivating strategies, and tools that reduce dropout rates and attract students who may hesitate to continue their studies. In this way, internationalization becomes a key resource for boosting the quality of education and adapting it to current demands. Another cornerstone is the promotion of collaborative work. Through international projects, both students and teachers learn to value mutual support, solidarity, and inclusion. Sharing experiences with people from other countries encourages tolerance and respect, fundamental competencies in today’s globalized world, with a direct impact on the cohesion of future work teams, whether in academic or professional environments. Complementarily, the project pursues the implementation of innovative strategies, resulting from the exchange of experiences with educational institutions and companies from different countries. This knowledge will help improve teaching and learning processes, support job placement, and incorporate sustainability principles that add value to the training provided. An objective of great importance in our context is to improve students’ employment and professional development opportunities. Coming from a peripheral environment with fewer resources than other European territories, our students find in Erasmus a complementary training that places them on an equal footing with other professionals. International experience, combined with the acquisition of new skills, increases their chances of accessing quality jobs and advancing in their professional careers. Finally, the project seeks to facilitate the recognition of professional qualifications. The European certificates associated with mobilities guarantee the validity of the competencies acquired, making academic and professional mobility within the European space easier. In doing so, the value of the training received at our school is reinforced, and students are ensured the possibility of demonstrating their skills in a clear and internationally recognized way.
