At the University of Oviedo, the project implemented within the Erasmus+ programme is the main tool for international exchange. Its implementation aims to: • Improve the training of both students and staff. This improvement goes beyond the acquisition of knowledge by facilitating the immersion of beneficiaries in a multicultural and multilingual context. • Contribute to strengthening ties between different countries in Europe by signing inter-institutional agreements with other universities or carrying out research and teaching projects. • Enable all students to participate in international mobility programmes regardless of their economic or personal situation, avoiding the awarding of zero grants. • Expand the types of mobility programmes offered to include short-term doctoral mobility programmes, taking into account their learning and training needs, which differ from those of ‘higher education staff’. • Consolidate short-term mobility through the Ingenium Alliance as a starting point for a future call for short-term mobility open to other international institutions. • Revitalise Asturian society by incorporating international students into other institutions in the region.
