To promote mobility and offer our students a stimulus for academic improvement and personal development, especially for those with recognizable financial deficiencies, offering them the possibility of leaving their structural environment, by exposing them to different views, ways of teaching and learning and work practices, facilitating personal development such as the ability to adapt to new situations, problem solving and self-confidence. 5. To enable our staff to teach or train abroad as part of their professional development in order to share their expertise, to experience new teaching environments, to acquire new innovative pedagogical and curriculum design skills and digital skills, to connect with their peers abroad so as to develop common activities, to exchange good practices and to enhance cooperation between higher education institutions and better prepare students for the world of work. 6. To promote environmentally-friendly practices by implementing projects which will respect the environment and promote the use of innovative, recycled and eco-friendly materials and techniques in our modules. Moreover, we will foster activities which will contribute to reducing our carbon footprint such as travelling by sustainable means or using open-air spaces in our school for lessons when possible. 10. To enhance the importance of participation in democratic life and civic engagement with projects including activities that raise awareness and understanding of the European Union context with regards to the common EU values, the principles of unity and diversity, their social, cultural and historical heritage, as well as activities that involve students in civic engagement, such as welcoming and integrating incoming students into the local community.
