Objectives

This project had the following objectives, previously stipulated in the institution's Erasmus Plan: Objective 1: To strengthen the skills and capabilities of higher education students through international placements (in companies) to improve their employability and transition to higher education. This objective primarily refers to the clear need to improve students' key competencies, transversal capabilities, and professional skills for greater and more diverse professional experience, thus fostering their motivation and self-confidence and helping to foster their transition to university studies and/or the labor market (employability). Furthermore, it will enhance the sense of belonging to the European Union. Regarding the challenges, the requirement to adapt the mobility offer to the profile and needs of VET users stands out. Objective 2: To promote mobility for disadvantaged student groups, with an emphasis on the immigrant and refugee population and young people from High Complexity Centers. This objective primarily refers to the clear need to increase the mobility of vocational training students (much lower than university mobility), promote an inclusive mobility project that places student needs at the heart of activity design, and increase the inclusion, motivation, and self-esteem of participants from disadvantaged backgrounds. Regarding the challenges, it highlights the expansion of mobility training offerings for the most vulnerable or disadvantaged groups, adapting the activity to their needs and context, promoting their inclusion in society and labor market integration, and preventing early school leaving through the tools offered by internationalization. Objective 3: Promote the professional development of vocational training staff and teachers and educational and pedagogical innovation in their home vocational training centers through international placements. This objective primarily refers to the need to promote the internationalization of vocational training staff, thus contributing to their professional development and incorporating new pedagogical methods and technologies when teaching or designing their classes or courses at their home centers. It also contributes to strengthening their sense of belonging to the EU.
