Objectives

IES Zaraobe BHI is a vocational training center that works in the fields of industrial maintenance, mechanization, and community services, and participates in international projects, as it is outlined in its strategic plan. Although our center is small, the dimension of our projects is considerable. European programs have had a very positive impact and play an important role in our institution. This project focuses on internships in companies, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA103 program. To this end, an internationalization team was created in 2008 to manage the Erasmus+ program, find partners, manage relationships, oversee the budget, promote and disseminate information, and, in coordination with the school administration, develop the internationalization strategy. One of the main objectives is to establish a network of European vocational training centers. In this project, we have strengthened our collaboration with Keuda in Finland. In other projects, we also follow this strategy with centers such as Lycée Gustave Eiffel in Narbonne (France), Summa College in Eindhoven, Meritum in Poland, ENGIM in Italy, and Social-og Sundhedsskolen in Denmark. Currently, we are strengthening our collaboration with other centers, which allows us to expand our areas of activity, such as staff mobility, classroom activities, and hosting students. In recent years, and in the current project, we have focused on this area. We have also fostered communication and direct relationships with a company with which we already collaborated in Portugal (Associação Quinta Essência) and with other companies in Poland (Telpod) and the Netherlands (Stork Nederland). The project is essential to reinforce our trilingual (Spanish, Basque, and English) curriculum in our vocational training programs. In 2017, we began offering some modules in English, and the Erasmus+ program contributes decisively to this strategy. The internship program will be managed directly and efficiently: it will be implemented through consensus, based on previous experience, and with continuous monitoring by the school's tutors and the company representatives. Some of our objectives are as follows: - Inclusion and diversity: promoting the participation of all people and ensuring equal opportunities. From the outset, the internationalization team provides information about the program's special scholarships and encourages participation from people in vulnerable situations. - Digital transformation: using digital tools for managing and monitoring mobility activities. - Environment and combating climate change: organizing travel in the most sustainable way possible. - Participation in democratic life, shared values, and civic engagement: raising awareness about the European nature of the program and the values enshrined in the Erasmus Charter.
