Objectives

The objectives of this project are aligned with those reflected in the Carta Eche application, which aim to improve the knowledge, techniques, and methodologies of our students' vocational training while also enhancing their language proficiency in other languages. The opportunity to undertake mobility to another European country to put their professional knowledge into practice also serves as motivation and a catalyst for achieving the best academic performance during the academic year. With the implementation of this project, we also sought to increase our students' employment opportunities, since participating in an Erasmus+ mobility program entails numerous values and skills that are inferred in a job interview, such as autonomy, initiative, maturity, responsibility, linguistic competence, and problem-solving skills, among many others. Another important objective is to expand the personal and professional world of our students beyond their everyday environment. That is, to offer them the opportunity to see new career prospects, to become aware of existing cultural diversity, and for this awareness to make them more respectful, reflective, and open to other ways of living and working. As teachers, we firmly believe that participation in training mobility represents a very significant qualitative improvement in teaching activities in vocational training classrooms. Although we prioritize student mobility to provide the greatest opportunities for young people in training, Job Shadowing mobility provides an interesting update of our teachers' technical and methodological knowledge, in addition to improving their linguistic competence in other languages and even motivating them to continue their training in the language used once the mobility ends. The objectives in this case, as stated in the ECHE Charter, focus not only on improving educational quality but also on enhancing cooperation with European companies and educational centers. We also aim to encourage, in each project we develop, the sharing of the knowledge acquired within the school with other teachers, fostering teachers' overall motivation to participate in this type of mobility and qualitatively improving the training offered to our vocational training students. Finally, this project contributes efficiently to the internationalization strategy of the IES l'Eliana, in synergy with the rest of the Vocational Training (VET) and School Education (SCH) projects, reinforcing the international character and the firm commitment of the center to the Erasmus+ program at all educational levels, where student and teacher mobility, the reception of students and teachers from other countries and international cooperation are already firmly established hallmarks.
