Objectives

The SÍSIFO project was created to provide a concrete response to the need for socio-community intervention proposals for the Emotional Well-being of unemployed adults. From the outset, the partner organizations set the objectives to be achieved, such as strengthening participants' social and relational skills, combined with autonomy and initiative, as well as developing inclusive values for their community. Therefore, SÍSIFO has represented the opportunity to improve their personal and social skills for holistic development. The WHO's concept of Emotional Well-being objectively includes the priorities and topics selected for the project and, consequently, for its objectives. Training programs for job guidance and integration (PFOIL) are based on the acquisition of skills exclusively related to the job search (résumés, social networks, communication strategies, or even soft skills), without, in most cases, including skills for Emotional Well-being (mental health).

Background

The SÍSIFO project was implemented to achieve the following objectives: · Promote Emotional Well-being skills that positively impact the employability of unemployed adults in situations of vulnerability (gender-based violence), at risk of poverty, and social exclusion, as well as young adults seeking to enter and remain in the labor market. · Develop a complementary intervention proposal for training programs for job guidance and integration that considers the importance of mental health through Emotional Well-being skills. · Contribute to Active Ageing with the Emotional Well-being of older women who have dedicated their lives and/or continue to dedicate themselves to unregulated work to caring for others, initiating a first stage for the construction of an intervention model aimed at the emotional well-being of older adults as a whole. This program was implemented for the following groups: 1. Women, addressed from two perspectives: Older Women and Women Victims of Gender Violence. 2. Young Adults, ages 18 to 29. 3. People at risk of poverty and social exclusion.
