By implementing the project, we aimed to achieve the following objectives: - Raise awareness among students from an early age about the importance of protecting the environment and addressing climate change. - Equip teachers with new methodologies, techniques, and tools (especially STEAM and digital) applicable to environmental education. - Develop digital educational materials focused on sustainability, recycling, and responsible consumption. - Promote European cooperation through the exchange of good practices and collaborative work between schools from different countries. - Involve families and the local community in the educational process, encouraging sustainable habits in students' immediate environment. - Strengthen European identity and improve participants’ language, digital, and cultural competences.
We applied for this project to address the urgent need to raise awareness within the educational community about climate change and to promote sustainable behaviors from an early age. We identified several common needs among the participating organizations: the lack of innovative methodologies in environmental education, the need to integrate STEAM competencies into the classroom with an environmental focus, limited use of digital tools in this context, and the importance of involving families in ecological education. Additionally, we aimed to strengthen European cooperation and share good practices to collectively tackle this global challenge.
