Objectives

In this Project, which is the third year of our Erasmus Plus Youth Accreditation, we have implemented two activities approved in the Annual Activity Plan. On the one hand, we carried out the Training Course from 2 to 5 July 2024 (being 1 and 6 July the days of travel and initial and closing activities) entitled ‘SPEAK UP EUROPE’, with a duration of 4 days and a total of 23 participants, following the reduction proposed by the National Agency in relation to the 27 requested. Participants came from Turkey, Georgia, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Portugal. The aim of the SPEAK UP EUROPE activity was to encourage reflection on the challenges facing the European Union today and in the future, promoting participation and European citizenship. We developed a learning experience for youth workers in which through non-formal, dynamic and participatory educational methods we actively addressed the following contents: - Europe and the challenge of Human Rights. - Europe and the challenge of Fake News (Pyramid of Hate). - Europe and the challenge of Green and Sustainable Europe. - Challenges of Europe's present and future. The training activity sought to focus on the solutions that we can provide from youth work at European level, offering tools to address concepts related to it and to the promotion of the defence of Human Rights in the field of youth. We sought that the reflections and learning acquired in this European Learning Experience could be useful and applied at local level by youth workers in their daily work in the youth field. In relation to the objectives of the Accreditation, this activity contributed to the achievement of the following general objectives: O2: Promote active citizenship and EU values and increase awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries from an approach based on the promotion of Human Rights. O3: To support the professional development of professionals in the youth field and to foster networking. O5: Contribute to achieving a society in which all young people are active, educated and capable of making a change in their daily lives in environmental matters, with a clear commitment to move towards a green and sustainable Europe. On the other hand, we carried out the Youth Exchange ‘CHANGE THE STORY’, developed in La Vecilla de Curueño (León) during 7 days from 20 to 26 August 2024 (being 19 and 27 August the days of travel and initial and closing activities) with the participation of 28 teenagers from 14 to 17 years old and 4 youth leaders. In this Youth Exchange the participating associations were Associazione Link (Altamura, Italy), Venti di Scambio (Conversano, Italy), La Vibria (Terrassa, Spain) and the Auryn Association (León, Spain). The title of the project ‘CHANGE THE STORY’ was related to the aim of the main activity which was to carry out an activity of education for equality and prevention of gender violence. During the activity we used traditional stories and highlighted the gender stereotypes present by changing the story. The main topics covered during the activity were gender equality, gender-based violence and stereotypes in general. In addition, with this activity, we aimed to: - Offer an experience of participation at European level for young people aged 14-17. - Develop European awareness and knowledge about the European Union among young people. - Promote a positive view of cultural diversity. - To highlight the multiculturalism on which the European Union is based. - Disseminate the Erasmus Plus and European Solidarity Corps programmes, especially with young people with fewer opportunities. In relation to the objectives of the Accreditation, this activity contributed to the achievement of the following general objectives: O1: To foster inclusive participation of European youth. O2: To promote active citizenship, EU values and increase awareness and understanding of other cultures. O4: To have an impact on the modification of sexist contents and attitudes that we sometimes encounter in society and to implement educational strategies and methodologies that contribute to break sexist stereotypes.
