The youth exchange “Own Your Tomorrow" was created with the objective of giving its participants the opportunity to learn more about the basic concepts of youth participation and its importance, provide them with relevant information and tools to overcome current barriers to exercising their rights and lead action for a better world. We wanted to promote diversity in the project reflecting more sustainable and inclusive outcomes. "Own Your Tomorrow" has been a safe space where young people have been able to freely share their ideas, experiences and emotions. They have supported and helped each other to create social initiatives with impact. The objectives of our project were: * To develop better understanding of the concepts of: youth participation and youth initiative. * To draw attention to the importance of making the voice of youth heard * To compare the youth context of the countries participating in the project * To share good practices and examples of meaningful youth participation, including alternative forms of participation * To encourage the development of practical knowledge and skills necessary for them to exercise their right to participate * To provide information, tools, guidelines and a safe space in which participants can create their own youth initiative * To promote European values and European citizenship and improve knowledge about the opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme.
