Objectives

Our project's main objective was to help our students acquire new skills and develop competences for both their personal lives and their professional future. Through various activities, we aimed to contribute to their personal growth and enable them to become responsible and active citizens, capable of accessing quality jobs. This is all in line with the overall objective of the Erasmus+ programme. Specifically, the tangible objective of our project was to design and manufacture a remote-controlled boat. Our students are young people between 18 and 30 years old who are studying Mechanical Manufacturing Design in multilingual mode (Basque, Spanish and English). Through this experience, we wanted to motivate them and make them reflect on different important aspects: 1. The importance of the use of English, both in general and in a technical context. This is due to the fact that the companies where our students will work are international and have contact with different countries. 2. Diversity: being in contact with students from different social backgrounds and with different abilities, coming from other countries, cultures and languages. Our intention is to encourage respect for these differences. 3. Teamwork: promoting constructive dialogue to find solutions to the problems posed. We want to develop qualities such as assertiveness and understanding of different work roles (leadership, planning, digitalisation). 4. The presence of women in industry: we seek to encourage vocations in technical professions. In addition, we would like to actively involve participants with fewer opportunities, such as those from rural backgrounds. 5. The digital revolution: promoting communication and learning through digital platforms that facilitate collaboration and communication. In addition, the use of technical platforms (Solid Edge, Solid works, Fusion 360) to solve the challenges posed in the technical projects will improve the quality of the activities. In summary, our main objective was to enable our young people to participate in enriching activities for their personal development, in a safe and non-discriminatory environment that ensures their safety and security at all times. We took all necessary measures to prevent and reduce risks, as is done in the real professional environment within the industry in Europe. Finally, we also wanted to raise environmental awareness, promoting responsible and sustainable attitudes towards the environment. In addition, we sought to raise awareness of the importance of acting to reduce or offset our environmental footprint.
