Through this project developed from the field of non-formal education, we wanted to give young people between the ages of 16 and 18 the opportunity to immerse themselves in cultural learning that has allowed them to get to know different cultures, traditions, experiences and life stories of different people, making them leave their own comfort zone. and to confront their prejudices and fears. We have tried to help the participants develop a capacity for critical analysis that allows them to get rid of the stereotypes that determine the social interrelations of their day-to-day lives. We also wanted to develop the intercultural interest of young people, promote a critical look at diversity, what is happening in the world today, and develop new perspectives on how to act positively in their local realities. Likewise, we have sought to ensure that the young participants develop and acquire a series of skills that favor empathetic attitudes in the face of the unknown, and in turn, facilitate commitment to the development of inclusive processes that lead to the construction of new social realities based on tolerance, mutual respect and joint work as their fundamental values. In short, we have sought to foster and increase the intercultural awareness of the participants, promoting the development of skills that facilitate inclusive processes of citizen participation that allow the development of fairer, tolerant and more equitable societies.
