Objectives

During the training course “Eat Your Waste” we wanted to empower youth to change their relationship with the waste they produce. We intended to create awareness about the issue of waste management, by pointing out the large amount of waste generated by society and the opportunities to reduce and recycle organic waste in daily life. From the perspective of youth work practice we wanted to introduce practices to improve our waste management in our projects and in the work we do with our target groups. The specific objectives of the project were: Train 24 participants from 8 different countries using non-formal education methods on how to apply zero waste and food waste reduction techniques in their jobs and projects. Involve the local community and spread awareness about the zero waste movement and waste reduction. Engage partner organizations in a partnership that aimed to apply the methods used during the training in their daily work. Create audiovisual content and transform the waste generated during the training into promotional products such as compost, soap, and art pieces. Promote Erasmus+ programs and develop the participants’ skills and competences.
