Objectives

From the International Civil Service (SCI Madrid) we believe that the use of non-formal education creates a culture of peace and non-violence. Therefore, the creation and implementation of volunteer camps and transversal education opportunities for young people are one of the organization's main pillars. These learning opportunities promote social inclusion, solidarity, interculturality, and active and European citizenship. SCI Madrid focuses all its projects, both locally and internationally, on active efforts through peace and coexistence actions, for the eradication of poverty, the reduction of inequalities, generating dynamics and actions focused on sustainability in all its dimensions, the fight for human rights, and gender equality in all its practices and actions. In light of the lack of real knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of most Erasmus+ projects and the overload of information brought by social networks with thousands of options and opportunities of all kinds, we often find ourselves in situations where we do not know how to identify which of these opportunities are the best and most beneficial for us.As an organization, we consider that collaboration and sharing among people who have experienced similar situations can help identify how to make the dissemination and implementation of projects more effective, so that people interested in or targeted by Erasmus+ programs can identify possibilities and choose the most convenient option. For all the reasons mentioned above, SCI Madrid would like to achieve the implementation of the “COOPERaction” seminar. As an organization that always seeks to preserve and promote all European values and projects (Erasmus+ & ESC), volunteering, workshops, or training among others, wants to create an open space to propose and discuss ideas and opinions on how to lead the dissemination of EU projects and how to support those who are not involved or are not aware of these opportunities and the impact they can have on their lives both directly and indirectly. .By creating this supportive and inclusive environment, “COOPERaction” has achieved to foster a sense of belonging and community among its participants, ultimately empowering them to become active and engaged members of society. Additionally, by enhancing their skills and knowledge, the project aims to create a positive impact on their future academic, personal, and professional endeavors. With a strong focus on collaboration and cooperation, “COOPERaction” is not only providing young people and youth workers with valuable opportunities for personal and professional growth, but is also helping to strengthen the European community as a whole. By investing in the development and well-being of its young population, Europe is ensuring a brighter and more prosperous future for all. Thus, this seminar will address the following objectives: -Provide participants with the necessary information to understand Erasmus+ projects. -Raise awareness of the importance of participating in these projects and thus being able to live new and enriching experiences and promote a change towards habits of active European participation among young people. -Share learning stories, tools, and knowledge. -Integrate with different methodologies that will present the participants themselves with cooperation in the field of youth work. -Motivate and provide tools for participants to develop critical thinking both during the seminar and in their future projects, in order to address current phenomena due to the excessive information or lack of participation in such programs. -Share knowledge and tools to inform or raise awareness, inspiring and motivating to live a more inclusive and active life at all levels. -Create an international network of youth workers interested in collaborating, co-creating, and cooperating. -Create a basis to support young people in developing visions and understanding of the importance and involvement of Erasmus+ projects. -Direct or indirect dissemination of the information received during the seminar.
