Objectives

Students Against Hoaxes aimed to promote the active role of young people in the development of a more democratic, fact-based, and inclusive European information ecosystem. To achieve this goal, we worked specifically with 80 university students in Spain in four objectives: Strengthening young people's capacities to identify and counter disinformation, specially relating to climate change, gender and migration; Encouraging the creation of innovative, evidence-based content in innovative multimedia formats; Promoting digital spaces for youth-led action and engagement; and showcasing youth-produced content through social media campaigns. The project’s broader vision was to empower young people to play an active role in addressing global disinformation challenges. By combining workshops, practical tools, innovative multimedia content, and meaningful opportunities for engagement, Students Against Hoaxes aimed to strengthen the role of youth in shaping a well-informed, inclusive, and resilient society.
