This project was inspired by values such as Equality, Inclusion, and Diversity, which permeated its objectives. Our main objective was to guarantee equal opportunities for our young people, social inclusion, promoting legislation, policies and appropriate measures in this regard. And even more, by also working with young people, minors, with judicial measures, at risk of social exclusion. The Foundation echoed the needs that were continually expressed by the young people with whom it worked and for whom it worked, and wanted to carry out this project hand in hand with the young people who participated in it, and to be able to make known the opinion that our youth has about the youth policies that were being carried out in matters such as New Masculinities, Mental Health and Human Rights. Although in our country there is formal or legal Equality, where men and women are equal and have the same rights before the Law, we saw that it is not real Equality, since discrimination against women and girls in multiple areas was a reality. Furthermore, one in three young people did not identify controlling behaviors with gender violence. Therefore, prevention at an early age helped and helps to identify the first signs of violence. We also wanted to focus on the care and well-being of our youth, in particular by promoting awareness-raising actions on Mental Health (given the large increase in cases of young people with problems of this nature). The Foundation also wanted to instill in the young people with whom it worked the importance of Human Rights, their respect, the situations derived from war, the prejudices that exist towards immigrants, to fight against hatred and xenophobia more specifically (a topic of constant relevance in the Canary Islands, the migratory crisis, was and is our daily life), and as a process of adaptation of young people at risk of exclusion, and as a remedy against hatred, racism, discrimination. Another objective of this project was to create participation spaces for young people, where debate existed, and their opinions, needs and concerns could be known, spaces where they could freely express their position, their proposals, etc., together with the responsible people. in political decision-making, promoting dialogue between both parties, to promote collaboration and coordination of all policies that have to do with young people in a manner consistent with the vision, mission and values of youth policies. These participatory meetings had a double purpose, since, on the one hand, these spaces for dialogue were created, young people and decision-makers at the local and regional levels met, and contributed to the dialogue in order to carry out social security policies. his hand. And, on the other hand, work was carried out to disseminate the material to give visibility to the topics discussed in the Project and disseminate it, and also to be able to have this material first-hand to work on it in workshops, etc., with young people. SDG numbers 3, 5, 10, and 16 were worked on throughout the development of the Project, as well as raising awareness among young people about the rights and values of the EU.
