Companies faced challenges related to reliable AI education, security and misinformation. The European Commission has highlighted the potential of AI to solve societal problems, but stressed the need for high quality and reliable technology, backed by legal standards and education. Our project focuses on non-formal education of young people in AI applications. We aim to develop pedagogical tools for trainers to improve digital skills, particularly for young people with special needs. The project will result in a publication addressing the legal basis of AI, safety and opportunities for young people. The project aims to support quality and innovation in non-formal education, increase educators' and young people's knowledge of AI, combat misinformation and improve digital safety. Our objectives are in line with the community's aspirations for a safe digital transformation.
Digital transformation is rapidly changing our world, with an increased interest in artificial intelligence (AI). New AI solutions on the market offer diverse capabilities, such as text editing, image generation, website creation and virtual presentations. Young people can benefit from these tools for educational purposes, such as creating innovative presentations. However, teenagers often misuse AI, relying on it for homework and blindly accepting its answers. To solve this, education is needed to inform young people about the versatility and risks of AI. In addition, the project aims to develop organizations and equip trainers with educational tools. The goal is to build confidence in AI by promoting its prudent use.
