Stronger commitment and enthusiasm of competent and motivated personnel for their own work. We want to achieve new collegial encounters, through which we get new tools to shape our own work and our well-being at work in many different ways: increasing self-esteem and mental well-being as well as competence, realizing ethics and equality in our operations, strengthening the sense of security and enjoyment. Among the values of sustainable development, at least equality and tolerance, pluralism and multiculturalism, as well as intergenerational justice and inclusion are increasing at Oulu College. While the awareness of global issues increases, the understanding of the importance of nurturing local cultural traditions and customs strengthens.
To enable as many Oulu-opisto employees as possible to participate in the Erasmus project, which promotes diverse skills in an individual's working life while strengthening their self-esteem. The most important goal for the project is to increase our internationalization and to create international relations, to increase the competence of the staff; increase in language skills, development of subject area competence and other skills, especially technological and digital skills in teaching, communication and marketing. We want to improve the staff's well-being at work and strengthen their self-esteem, promoting social sustainability and openness (sustainable development). Through international learning and contacts, we want to keep the competence and reputation of Finland's 3rd oldest and 4th largest civic college at a high level as a progressive educational institution. Thus over hundred years old Oulu-opisto and our skilled staff are able to embrace the new and cherish the old.
