Objectives

Erasmus+ is a mobility project for higher education students and staff from programme countries and, starting from the 2021 project period, also partly with partner countries. The University of Lapland’s (ULapland) strategic objective is to further internationalise its research, artistic activities, and education—especially in the areas of its strategic spearheads—and to create a stronger and more effective network of collaboration. For ULapland, the Erasmus+ KA131 project is the most important instrument for implementing student and staff mobility. A new activity under this is the introduction of blended intensive programmes and blended mobilities. The project enables ULapland to achieve its goal of enhancing the quality of education and research for all students and staff, as well as to make a significant contribution to society. The Erasmus+ KA131 mobility project is a pivotal instrument for ULapland to systematically enhance international teaching and learning, facilitate networking and international collaboration with European—and to some extent also non-European—partners, introduce new initiatives, share best practices, and support reskilling and upskilling through student, teacher, and staff mobility within the international ULapland campus.
