The Erasmus+ mobility project is an excellent tool to support students and staff in gaining international experience and perspectives, widening their academic networks, and sharing expertise. Furthermore, the project enables the development of partnerships with European partner institutions, and contributes to the quality of education, teaching, and learning. Initiatives and ideas for broader development projects can be worked on during staff mobility activities. Thus, the mobility projects can lead to other cooperation projects that enhance the quality and relevance of European higher education. The project funding was awarded for 73 study mobilities, 25 student traineeships, 12 staff mobilities for teaching, and 14 staff mobilities for training. Karelia thus aimed to achieve at least 124 individual mobility periods, and to host three blended intensive programs (BIPs). At the same time, Karelia aimed to welcome students, teachers, and other staff members from its partner institutions, and to participate in and contribute to several BIPs, hosted by the partner institutions.
