Objectives

In its strategy Savonia UAS has set a goal to be a genuinely international university of applied sciences educating professionals, who all have capacity and necessary skills for international work and who are internationally competitive and open-minded experts. As the Erasmus+ programme allows student mobility it thus directly supports this goal. To provide these skills also to non-mobile students, it is important for Savonia UAS to host international students on campus. This is also enabled by the Erasmus+ program activities. To host Erasmus students and staff members, Savonia teachers and staff member sneed to have the intercultural competence to be able to deliver their teaching to an international audience. An important goal of Erasmus+ programme is also to provide the ability to exchange good practices among the staff members as well as to allow networking at the European level. Continuous skills development is also crucial for Savonia UAS and the surrounding community. Erasmus+ programme has a significant role by enabling international mobility activities and cooperation between Savonia UAS and its partner universities.
