Project I DISCOVER is one of Erasmus + mobility projects for 18-year-old young people - “discoverEU inclusion action,” realized in Loimaa Evangelical Folk High School 2023-2024. It allowed 6 young people with fewer opportunities to participate in DiscoverEU on equal footing with their support persons. The project helped young people to learn about Europe and themselves; to discover opportunities for their future, gave new competencies, fostered a sense of belonging to the EU, and strengthened the green lifestyle. This project provided participants with personal growth by carrying out a short-term individual traveling across the EU discovery project from starting ideas until following up activities. The participants 1. took responsibility for mobility activity from start to end (planning, modeling, organizing, implementing, and following up on their discovery project); 2. improved their life skills for better life choices and implemented interpersonal communication skills with local people in another country; 3. were in touch with a multicultural environment; 4. learned more about EU values in practice; 5. took into account the Green approach, by traveling by train This project helped to identify the participants' needs and to recognize the non-formal and informal learning outcomes from the mobility experiences. The participants learn about European topics and values by doing.
