Objectives

The main objective of the project is to develop students' entrepreneurial and international skills by organizing a camp in Lapland and Spain. The students will have the opportunity to meet and learn from local Finnish and Spanish entrepreneurs, who will also benefit from networking opportunities. The project will also focus on sustainability, and the students will work together with entrepreneurs to find solutions to sustainability issues, that also include the virtual travelling and tourism.

Background

We wanted to respond to students’ need to become more international and to gain valuable work experience in authentic learning environments. For educational institutions, the project enabled the development of international cooperation and the expansion of collaboration between schools and companies in Finland and Spain. Students in both countries need working life skills that are enhanced by operating in an international environment. The project addressed the need to test authentic learning environments and allowed students to develop their entrepreneurial skills through cooperation with participating companies and by working within them. The project also contributed to developing the international expertise of the two organizations involved and to strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
