Located in the Grand-Est region, URCA is a multi-site, multidisciplinary university that welcomes nearly 28,000 students each year, including approximately 3,000 foreign nationals. URCA offers more than 150 degrees in four major fields of study and has 335 ERASMUS+ agreements with 182 partners in 25 European countries. For several years, URCA has been developing an ambitious internationalisation policy with the aim of giving all students an international outlook and attracting high-quality international students. Obtaining the Bienvenue en France label (2 stars) and participating in the Erasmus Mundus BIOCEB joint Master's programme gives the university crucial tools in developing its attractiveness policy and provides the impetus to develop its range of courses in English. Since 2023, URCA has been part of the European INVEST alliance, whose areas of expertise, such as the bioeconomy and the territorial/regional approach to resource management, are fully consistent with URCA's strategic project to create an international institute for bioeconomy and the environment (Exebio) and to promote excellence in research, innovation. Encouraged by this recognition of the university's commitment to quality, an ambitious programme was developed throughout the year with numerous initiatives to involve the entire university community in the institution's international dimension. In concrete terms, to achieve this goal of international openness, language and intercultural training for students and staff has been expanded. The university's Language Centre has an assessment and training platform called ‘Altissia’ (based on the OLS model) that is open to all students and staff.
