Objectives

The Lycée Sainte-Anne has 6 post-baccalaureate classes in the hotel and catering sector (1 Mise A Niveau class, 5 Brevet de Technicien Supérieur 1st and 2nd year classes with 3 options: cuisine, service and hotel management and 1 Certificat de Spécialisation class) for which one or more work placements are compulsory to obtain the diploma. The call for proposals over two school years 2023/24-2024/25 with outgoing mobility for work placement purposes is part of the Lycée's international strategy based on stable relations with foreign hotel groups for 4 years now (appendix 8), with clearly defined objectives aimed at developing professional and linguistic skills and building a responsible and sustainable European identity for the participants. The drop in student numbers led us to apply for 12 grants, 8 of which were awarded. These exchanges are supervised in accordance with the Charter, with particular attention paid to the administrative and financial security of the students involved. In addition to creating cohesion between the classes taking part in the programme, our aim is to expose our young people to a variety of professional practices in order to develop their employability through recognition of prior learning, personal development and adaptability. We want to present the 2 to 3 month ERASMUS work placement as a springboard to an international career by building a wider network. This project offers students at the Lycée a unique opportunity to train abroad in a safe and recognised environment. We want to help them build their self-confidence, because technical subjects are often undervalued. This experience will enable them to gain expertise and share their know-how.
