Objectives

The implementation of the Erasmus+ 2023 project at Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (USPN) was fully aligned with the strategic objectives of our institution regarding European cooperation and the internationalisation of higher education. Led by the International Relations Office (DRI), the project aimed to strengthen USPN’s European engagement by facilitating staff and student mobility, and by contributing to the development of an inclusive, attractive, and sustainable European Higher Education Area. The DRI is responsible for steering the institution’s international policy, in close coordination with academic departments and institutional partners. Its mission is to structure a shared international strategy based on academic attractiveness, the quality of partnerships, and openness to new forms of cooperation. Within the framework of the Erasmus+ 2023 project, the DRI pursued the objective of coherent and efficient implementation, ensuring alignment between initial forecasts, allocated resources, and completed activities. As of the progress report submitted in June 2024, 16 staff training mobilities (STT), 2 staff teaching mobilities (STA), and 3 student traineeships had been declared. While these figures may appear modest, they must be understood in light of the broader strategic timeline: the 2022 project had only just been closed, over 100 applications for outgoing study mobility in semester 1 of 2024–2025 had already been recorded, and the selection process for semester 2 mobilities was still underway. In this context, no budget revision was requested, as our priority was to close the 2023 project on time in order to ensure a smooth launch of the 2024 project. At the time of writing this final report, the objectives have been achieved. The budget execution rate reached 99.59%, reflecting rigorous and optimised management of European funds. Moreover, the project supported the development of innovative mobility formats, notably through the organisation of two Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), in line with the European Commission’s priorities in terms of flexibility, skills development, and transnational cooperation.
