Objectives

PROJECT CONTEXT The Christian Bourquin Catering, Tourism & Hospitality school offers higher education courses in Tourism and Hospitality Management (initial training and apprenticeships), updating courses, additional qualifications in Sommelier Studies, Catering, and Outdoor Hospitality, with approximately 150 students per year group. The International Relations team consists of: 2 General Education Mobility Advisors, including the ERAEI (Teacher Advisor for European and International Action) 2 Higher Education Mobility Advisors (Tourism HND and Catering & Hospitality HND) 2 Mobility Advisors for vocational and technological education OUR PROJECT OBJECTIVES International opening is a top priority for our school. Our mobility objectives for students and staff remain ambitious and progressive. STUDENTS The main objective is to enable as many students as possible to experience mobility abroad during their HND, to promote study mobility (at least one student per year), and to gradually increase the number of internship mobility opportunities. In addition, the number of young people with fewer opportunities (JAMO) is a priority for the school, and bonus points are awarded to them in the ranking of applications. The objective for students is, of course, to strengthen their linguistic, professional and interpersonal skills. Students gain autonomy, flexibility and adaptability. Finally, the longer-term objective is to facilitate their professional integration and recruitment and to develop their sense of European belonging. We are also developing incoming mobility programmes (internships and studies) from our most loyal partners. STAFF The aim is to encourage all staff to discover the benefits of international mobility in order to open up to other cultures and education systems, improve individual and collective teaching practices, and make each member of staff an ambassador for mobility among our young people. Staff are the primary advisors and influencers for pupils and students. They also have a duty to inform and reassure parents who are concerned about their children going abroad for two to four months. Staff mobility also represents an opportunity to strengthen relationships with our loyal partners, training centres and host companies. PARTNER ORGANISATIONS We can count on the active support of our partners in France, notably: Europe Direct Pyrénées, PSI (Plateforme de Solidarité Internationale) and the DRAI of the Montpellier Academy. For internships abroad, our network of partner companies is expanding every year: more than 130 companies in 28 countries on 4 continents. A dozen partner training organisations abroad assist us in placing and monitoring our students on internships and study mobility programmes. Since 2018, the GHT Occitanie Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications d'Excellence has enabled us to expand our range of foreign partners, training organisations and host companies for internships. We place great emphasis on loyalty and the development of lasting partnerships, with a focus on quality and working in a climate of trust. These strong partnerships now enable us to develop new European mobility activities in vocational, technological and general education, both outgoing and incoming internships, incoming observation mobility, apprentice mobility, etc. FUTURE PROJECTS Our international projects: 1. Enable every student and member of staff at Bourquin High School to experience mobility abroad. 2. Expand the range of destinations and host organisations (in 2025: Japan, Mexico, the Maldives). 3. Create more exchange opportunities with Canada (Quebec in particular). 4. Develop mobility for Tourism HND and Catering & Hospitality apprentices, in partnership with GRETA-CFA 11-66. 5. Further strengthen the preparation and support of young people in their projects in order to minimise failures and promote successful experiences. We wish to: - Maintain the level of commitment of our students while improving our practices, personalised support, experience sharing and positive outcomes. - Continue to increase the number of colleagues participating in mobility programmes in order to build a solid base of ambassadors for our young people, enrich teaching practices, improve the attractiveness of our institution and ensure the renewal of teams at the International Relations Office in order to avoid burnout.
