Objectives

From the launch of the Erasmus program and its institutionalization at Sciences Po Bordeaux (SPB) through the creation of a compulsory year abroad during the first cycle (bachelor’s-level studies), student mobility has become the key action of our school’s international policy. Staff mobilities have complemented these activities along with the structuration of our partnerships. Our objectives have long been the expansion and enrichment of these mobilities, and more recently the creation of new European double degree diplomas, with students as the main beneficiaries of the action: SPB now has more than 160 international partners with more than 600 places designated for student mobility annually. This policy of internationalization naturally extends to our hosting of participants from our partner universities: SPB welcomes around 250 international students at Bachelor and Master levels each year. The new Erasmus+ priorities have been implemented since Fall 2021 with the dimensions of inclusion and respect of European values for the new program. This year the institute prioritized the promotion of ecological transportation via different actions: Organization of a photography contest on the theme of eco-responsibility (partially financed by the institute’s own funding), organization of a round table on the same theme for Erasmus Days. The institute’s goal through these actions is to optimize the use of the European funds to allow for a maximum of participants to benefit from a financed mobility.
