Objectives

The Université de Haute-Alsace, located close to Germany and Switzerland, has a natural vocation for encouraging mobility, as well as promoting international and particularly cross-border projects. Created in 1989, the EUCOR network, which brings together the two Alsatian universities and the Universities of Basel (CH), Freiburg (D) and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (D), became the first European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation, Eucor-the European Campus, in 2015, boosting cross-border mobility. Since 2019, the university has also been part of the European University Alliance “European Partnership for an Innovative Campus unifying Regions” (EPICUR) with 8 partner universities, including KIT and Freiburg. The Université de Haute-Alsace relies on these two consortia and on the Erasmus+ programme to develop its student and staff mobility, in line with its strategy for sustainable development, citizenship, inclusion and digitalisation. In 2023–2024, 206 participants were registered, showing a little increase compared to the 199 participants under the 2022 grant agreement. This rise mainly concerns internship and training mobilities, with the grant being fully used.
