Objectives

When launching the Erasmus+ project 2023, the Université Catholique de Lille aimed to enhance its European visibility and strengthen strategic partnerships through long-term academic cooperation. This initiative is fully aligned with the university's international development strategy and was designed to offer students a richer, more inclusive experience that is open to the world. The project also sought to foster the development of key skills and improve the employability of both students and staff by creating meaningful mobility opportunities rooted in European values, societal engagement, and intercultural openness. Strengthening language proficiency, academic knowledge, digital expertise, and transversal skills was central to empowering participants to thrive in international contexts. Moreover, the project was intended to modernize teaching practices, particularly through hybrid mobility formats and the implementation of the European Student Card initiative. In response to the growing number of incoming international students, we aimed to assess and improve our reception systems to ensure high-quality integration. Sustainability was also a key concern. Our consortium committed to continuing its efforts to reduce the carbon footprint associated with international mobility. Finally, the project was a springboard for deeper cooperation among consortium partners, laying the groundwork for future ambitious collaborative initiatives at the European level.
