As part of their BTS International Trade program, 29 students had the opportunity to complete an internship abroad—a mandatory step to validate their diploma. This mobility experience, fully aligned with the goals of the Erasmus+ program, offered much more than just a professional placement: it was a true intercultural immersion, rich in learning and personal growth. The students were placed in a wide variety of host countries, including Spain, Ireland, Holland, Czech Republic or Indonesia. This diversity of destinations encouraged a strong sense of openness, exposing participants to different working methods and economic environments. On a technical level, the students strengthened their skills in prospecting, negotiation, customer relationship management, and multilingual communication. At the same time, they developed key personal qualities such as autonomy, adaptability, curiosity, and stress management—all of which are highly valued in today’s job market. One of the most significant aspects of this experience was the encounter with multiculturalism. Living and working in a foreign country allowed each student to better understand cultural norms, challenge stereotypes, and improve their ability to collaborate in international contexts. Intercultural awareness was no longer just a theoretical concept—it became part of their daily reality. This mobility also provided an opportunity to develop crucial digital skills: using remote collaborative tools, managing databases, creating digital marketing materials, and more. Combined with practical field experience, these skills represent a strong asset for their future careers or further education abroad. Upon their return, all participants agreed that their international internship was a key milestone in their academic journey—demanding, but incredibly enriching. For many, it sounds to be a defining moment in shaping their professional—and sometimes personal—aspirations.
