When implementing these mobility opportunities for our students, we had several objectives. We wanted to: · Enable them to manage the compulsory internship abroad, which represents a significant budget difficult to manage for most of them. For those most financially disadvantaged , the opportunity of an Erasmus grant was reassuring. We advised them to share accommodation in the same foreign city to reduce housing costs, and to find a company as quickly as possible to obtain cheaper plane tickets. · Enable them to deepen their international business skills by putting their BTS CI courses into practice in a real international context, while understanding the specificities of foreign markets, negotiation techniques, and logistics, all on a different scale. · Enable them to develop their linguistic skills in English, Spanish, and sometimes even the language of the host country, by using it daily in a professional and social setting in order to prepare for a career in a field where language skills are essential. · Enable them to gain professional experience abroad, observe the functioning of a foreign company, and gain a perspective of their profession beyond our borders. Their internship objectives included, among others, prospecting, import/export missions, and communication in a foreign language and show them how much cultural nuances can influence commercial relationships in business.Perhaps some will choose to work in Europe in a few years? · Enable them to grow personally, become more independent, manage their daily lives, and adapt to a completely different environment.. This includes opening up to other cultures, becoming more tolerant, and perhaps meeting people who will later help them if they decide to go and work in a European country or even beyond our European borders .
