INSA Strasbourg is a prestigious public polytechnic university under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. It is part of a group of seven institutes in France which, together with its partner schools, forms the leading network of French public engineering universities. INSA Strasbourg welcomes around 2,000 students to the heart of the European capital. Since 2003, in order to obtain an engineering or architecture degree, the institution has required all its students to undertake a mandatory international mobility program lasting at least three months, through an internship and/or a study abroad program. Currently, the minimum duration is 16 weeks. This project is part of this policy, which is resolutely focused on international relations, particularly European relations. In 2019, the INSA Group, of which the institution is a member, joined the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), whose actions focus on educational innovation, flexible learning, and facilitating and harmonizing international mobility with numerous physical and virtual mobility opportunities for students, teachers, and staff of the Group and a European network of researchers. Short-term incoming and outgoing mobility programs were also carried out during the period covered by this report, but in order to optimize the available funding, they were financed under another ongoing Erasmus contracts. The institution also allocated 13.5% of its budget to international mobility under this contract. For the first time, 11.3% of this budget was allocated to student mobility at six different university partners and six différent countries.
