Our participation in the ERASMUS+ programme is part of the student internationalization process, which is a true guiding principle in the engineering education offered at the ESTIA campus. Since 2008, this initiative has strengthened the international mobility of engineering and Bachelor students, whether they are enrolled as full-time students or apprentices at ESTIA. The ERASMUS+ KA131 programme contributes to achieving three key objectives: Implement a set of training mechanisms applicable to all French engineering schools, aligned with what the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI) refers to as “international training.” ESTIA’s approach places mobility at the heart of this educational process. Sustain ESTIA’s unique approach to internationalization. Since its founding in 1998, ESTIA has stood out by offering training that enables 100% of its students to gain international experience through mechanisms tailored to their preferences: either through an academic approach by attending courses at European universities, or through an inductive approach involving professional experience abroad, such as internships or active extensions of their apprenticeship contracts. Promote ESTIA internationally and enhance its visibility through the mobility of its students and staff, with the goal of establishing a strong presence in key European countries alongside major academic partners. The KA131 programme thus contributes to the European and international openness of our school and reinforces its position as an institution offering high value-added international education. Thanks to the network of international partners supported by this programme, students can undertake international mobility through a study semester or an internship abroad. In 2023, the number of mobilities within the European Union increased, confirming the importance of securing KA131 funding to support intra-European mobility. ESTIA has distinguished itself within the ecosystem of engineering schools by creating a boundary-free, European, and innovative model. Driven by KA131 — which notably enabled staff mobility — ESTIA joined the EU4DUAL alliance at its inception in 2023. Our internationalization policy and “international training” approach are considered exemplary within the alliance. ESTIA is also the leader of Work Package 6, “Seamless Mobility,” a role that reflects its commitment to developing a privileged network and enriching and facilitating student mobility. The KA131 project and our international momentum illustrate our strong commitment to opening up internationally, with a particular focus on the European level.
