ENSTA Bretagne is a Public Institution of a scientific, cultural, and professional nature, with administrative and financial autonomy, and established as a major institution (EPSCP-GE). It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of the Armed Forces, and more specifically the Directorate General of Armaments. Its organisation and functioning are governed by the Defence Code (articles R3411-29 to R3411-55). ENSTA Bretagne’s high-quality training includes a compulsory international experience of at least one semester. This international mobility is essential to ensure that our graduates are well-positioned for employment both in the national and international markets, thanks to their global outlook. Erasmus+, beyond the institutional framework it provides, plays a crucial role in supporting our students in their international journey by offering the financial assistance necessary to undertake academic stays or internships abroad. It is also an essential support mechanism for the intercultural and professional development of our academic staff and administrative personnel. Submitting a new funding application in February 2023 was therefore part of the ongoing implementation of our internationalisation strategy, aimed at strengthening the linguistic, intercultural, scientific and technical skills that are essential for the engineers and citizens of tomorrow. Our main objectives in implementing this project were as follows: • To encourage and facilitate academic and internship mobility for our students; • To promote and support staff mobility; • To enhance the internationalisation of our campus through exchanges with our European neighbours; • To foster the exchange of best practices and strengthen ties with our partners’ various departments; • To consolidate existing inter-institutional agreements by developing mobility and/or research activities; • To develop double degree programmes on a European scale; • To connect researchers from different institutions to foster collaboration (joint research projects, internship opportunities for our students, etc.); • To create new partnerships with European institutions and offer a wide range of opportunities to our students and staff for their intercultural, academic, and professional development. In this regard, we established three new partnerships in 2023.
