Objectives

By implementing the project, we aimed to maintain the momentum around student mobility, while also giving motivated students from all backgrounds (especially those with fewer opportunities) the chance to live as European citizens — discovering a new culture, learning a new language and/or improving an existing one, gaining maturity and independence, and achieving goals related to their post-secondary education, as well as enhancing their employability. Thanks to the positive aspects of mobility projects, a partnership has been established between our school and the Edith Stein Schule Erfurt in Germany. Since September 2023, our students have been hosting their German counterparts and will travel to Germany in February. These exchange students also take part in the school’s flagship event, the "24h of St. Jo", a race featuring miniature hydrogen- or electric-powered vehicles entirely designed and built by student teams. There is thus a true exchange of ideas and collaboration between the students and teachers of both institutions. As a matter of fact, Elodie Levert, an English teacher, participated in an Erasmus mobility at the German school to observe a different approach to teaching.
