On 13 December 2023, the announcement of Bourges as European Capital of Culture 2028 offered ENSA Bourges the opportunity to assert itself at the European level. In this context, the school defined as priorities the strengthening of its internationalisation, the creation of new academic cooperation, and the experimentation of new pedagogical and organisational practices. The aim is to work more closely together, to strengthen mutual understanding between partner institutions and above all between teachers, to design joint courses, and to develop a truly collective and transdisciplinary pedagogy. Bourges 2028 entrusted ENSA with the organisation of an Eurofabrique, an artistic and pedagogical initiative already tested at the Grand Palais in Paris and in Cluj, Romania, with the support of Creative Europe, which brings together students and teachers from art schools around collective projects on the theme of Europe. Our ambition is to bring together a network of schools and academies with exhibition galleries, in order to place ecological transition, social responsibility, and the professionalisation of students at the heart of teaching. The objective is to give our students the means to work within a European framework that is open and sensitive to contemporary challenges.
