Sorbonne Université gives a prominent place to international relations in its strategy. The university hails an international development in line with its values and attentive to national and European priorities in particular through the promotion of the European Higher Education Area and its affiliation to the 4EU+ European Alliance. Supporting this strategy are over a thousand agreements with international universities, strategic international partnerships, strategic thematic collaborations and a European alliance. These long-term partnerships include research and training with first-class international universities. They help develop international mobility, and build a university offering study programmes that bear a truly international scope. For the duration of the 2023-25 project, the university wished to increase its participation to the programmes and initiatives of the European Union, by enhancing mobility and crafting a more welcoming environment for its students and staff. Sorbonne Université aspires to use the Erasmus+ programme as a central asset for structuring its international outreach and nurturing its cooperation with its strategic partners, while paying heed to exchanges around best practices on inclusion, diversity and sustainability. Supporting students who wish to participate in mobility programmes is a key priority, designed to prepare them for the demands of a globalised workforce.
