The Erasmus+ 2023 agreement made it possible to set up study and work mobilities abroad for Villa Arson students and staff during the 2023–24 and 2024–25 academic years. The Erasmus+ 2021–27 program extends mobility opportunities to partner countries outside Europe. International mobility is an essential part of the educational cursus for art students at Villa Arson. By encouraging immersion in new environments and the discovery of different educational and cultural contexts, it allows students to acquire new skills, build their own references, and join professional networks beyond the boundaries of the art school. All students are strongly encouraged to complete at least one semester of study or an internship abroad as part of their curriculum during the first year of the Master’s degree in Art (DNSEP). Second-year Bachelor’s students (DNA) are required to undertake an internship in order to validate their cycle, and we support them in broadening their scope internationally for a maximum period of three months. Study trips are also an important component of the curriculum, opening both theoretical and practical seminars to an international dimension, both professionalizing, and enriching for art students. The goal is to gradually ensure that all students gain international experience during their studies, while also supporting faculty members in organizing international projects. Participation in the Erasmus+ program is a key element of Villa Arson’s international development strategy.
