Our funding application for 2023 was based on our Erasmus+ charter and the following observation: It is clear that all academic stakeholders, and those involved in apprenticeships in particular, have a real need for information (and even training) on the benefits of European mobility and the opportunities it offers for learners as for staff. For this reason, we pointed out the importance of taking the time to implement our new international strategy, to inform apprentice students and training teams, and above all to raise awareness among companies, which may be hostile to the idea of releasing their apprentices: this point is the KEY element and a prerequisite for the implementation of any student mobility: without the authorization of the company hosting the young person in training, no mobility is possible. The main aim of this project was to train our students' teams and supervisors, in order to provide them with the essential knowledge required to implement internship mobility programs in foreign companies. For the majority of our staff, awareness of existing European programs for high school graduates is new, and participating in this type of mobility program is a new experience. Indeed, it should be remembered that the teachers involved in our BTS programs generally divide their teaching time between these post-baccalaureate classes and those in high schools. For most of them, this type of mobility is a new experience; thus, even the modest commitment of our teams is a first step towards the European and international openness we aspire to for our students. The information work carried out upstream therefore requires a presence and support for all those involved in the apprenticeship and the teaching teams. For this reason, we focused our 2023 funding request mainly on staff participation, but with the possibility of switching apprentice requests to this contract (instead of teaching staff). However, the very special 2024-2025 academic year (see below) did not allow us to achieve our ambitions in this regard.
