Objectives

This project was fully in line with the University Marie and Louis Pasteur’s (UMLP) strategy of internationalization and rootedness in Europe, as well as its quality of mobility and hospitality. UMLP aimed to intensify its internationalization by strengthening existing partnerships, developing new cooperations in accordance with students' educational expectations. UMLP also strives to continue to set up internationalized training programs. The STARS EU alliance, to which UMLP belongs, is the driving force behind this dynamic and the Erasmus program is one of its main tools. At alliance level, a coordinated program of mobility, 155 internships, 30 joint teaching units, 64 micro-certifications, 12 double degrees (L/M), 8 new doctoral degrees and 78 BIPs are expected by 2027. In fact, students and staff were so enthusiastic about the BIPs when they were first introduced to the 2022 project, that the development of innovative teaching methods within this framework has been defined as an objective for the 2023 project. Moreover, the implementation of the project made it possible to pursue the organization of “successful” mobilities, that is to say mobilities that are prepared, validated, recognized and valued, while affirming the university's desire to make them more responsible and inclusive. The lump-sum contribution to eco-responsible transport and the inclusion support were invaluable aids, in synergy with the university's own schemes. In addition, the project was one of the essential tools for evaluating and improving our hosting activities as part of the university’s Bienvenue en France strategy and the renewal of its accreditation. Finally, UMLP was keen to develop staff mobility with a lot of objectives: to involve staff in international development, particularly in the activities of the STARS EU alliance; to develop their skills and new pedagogical practices; to modernize the training offer and to strengthen their sense of belonging to Europe.
