Objectives

By implementing this Erasmus+ KA131 project, our ambition was to engage our institution in a meaningful European dynamic that offers tangible opportunities for both students and staff. This project reflects our strong commitment to promoting cultural openness, European solidarity, inclusion, and the development of both professional and personal competences. Our students, enrolled in a two-year post-secondary programme leading to a Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (BTS), often experience this qualification as their first and sometimes only opportunity within higher education. With limited time and few chances to go abroad, we aim to compensate for this constraint by offering them the opportunity to undertake a professional internship in another European country. This experience provides significant personal, academic and professional value. Our objectives are twofold: to enhance their short-term training by acquiring practical skills in a European context, and to strengthen their long-term potential as adaptable, mobile professionals who are aware of intercultural and economic challenges across Europe. This project also helps combat self-censorship among students from modest backgrounds, by demonstrating that international mobility is both possible and rewarding for all learners, regardless of their origin or path. In parallel, the project aimed to support the internationalisation of our institution through staff mobility, especially jobshadowing experiences. These allowed for the exchange of good teaching practices, the creation of sustainable partnerships with host institutions, and the enrichment of our pedagogical approaches through exposure to new tools and methodologies. Through this project, we sought to actively contribute to the construction of an informed, inclusive, and globally engaged European citizenship, while aligning our institution with the key priorities of the Erasmus+ programme: inclusion, digital transition, sustainability, and active participation in the European Education Area.
