Objectives

Founded in 1795, Inalco has become a unique institution, currently teaching over 110 Oriental languages and civilisations to more than 9,000 students. No other institution in the world offers such diversity in area studies and language teaching. The International Office at Inalco promotes international mobility among an increasingly precarious student population, as this mobility is essential for the future linguists and civil servants we train. Financial support is essential for any mobility project. Inalco also places Europe at the heart of its strategy. We see the Erasmus+ programme as an opportunity to enhance our European identity, given that the skills of our graduates in languages, interculturality and international relations are well suited to European professions: European civil servants, European project managers, consultants, and so on. The two objectives of this project were to increase European mobility at our HEI and our participation in decentralised projects (KA131, KA171, KA210 and KA220) and centralised projects (Jean Monnet Action and CBHE). Last but not least, Inalco joined the EUniWell European University Alliance in 2023.
